Upon completion of this course, the 16-hour Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching Course and a mentoring practicum, the instructor will be certified at IDI Level Three.

This 40-hour Core Course and 16-hour Teach Back Session provides additional instructor development skills while designing or enhancing a module of instruction they currently teach or are designated to teach. IDI Level Three Certification is required to begin the Level Four Master Instructor Certification Course. This core course will reinforce and provide the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned during IDI Level One and Two training.   A special course for ICII Graduates is also available for a limited time period.
TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

Journaling Developing Goals, Tasks and Learning Objectives Research Methods

Those attending this program will work on an actual module of instruction the instructor/student currently teaches or will teach.   They should bring all course material related to the selected module as well as the goal and expanded course outline for the course their module is included within (their module should typically be a portion of a larger course- for example the Emergency Management module (LD 43) that is a portion of the Regular Basic Course).

A personal laptop computer and the ability to access email while in travel is a necessity. The classroom will have wireless connectivity and many of the activities require the use of a computer. If you only have agency email and cannot access it while in travel status establishing a free email account prior to attendance with one of the free services (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) will be expected.

You will be doing work to enhance your present module of instruction. Please bring any related course material (course goal, lesson plans, handouts, etc). to this course with you to assist you in this portion of the course.

The course is designed for active, hands-on participation by the students. Course work will include research, active training, group activities and practice applying facilitation skills.
