This course will address the unique needs of a law enforcement investigator who is responsible for investigating child physical abuse. The focus of this class will build on information gained from the basic 40 ICI Child Abuse course and will go in-depth on the issues surrounding these types of investigations, and teach advanced investigative techniques that will assist the law enforcement investigator in solving these cases and preparing them for successful prosecution. This class is intended for the investigator who has some previous Child Abuse experience. Actual case studies will be presented, discussed and analyzed. Students will be participating in hands on activities and will work in small groups utilizing scenarios, investigating child physical abuse cases.

IMPORTANT: While there is no prerequisite for this course, it is suggested the investigator attend the POST ICI 40-hour Child Abuse Course prior to attending this course.
