BASIC COMPUTER INVESTIGATION OF WEBSITES


COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is an introduction into the personal webpage phenomenon. It will address the most popular website in use today, “MySpace.” This course will also touch on other websites such as Craigslist and Youtube. The purpose is to give law enforcement officers the tools needed to understand and investigate crimes where Internet usage occurs and to find leads associated with such occurrences.  It is strongly recommended that participants bring a laptop computer to the training session. 

PARTICIPATING AGENCIES & TARGET AUDIENCE: All personnel whose duty it is to investigate any crime that may have connection to the Internet and related technology based incidents. Potential is for all LE related persons.
