EMAIL INFO EXCELLENCE
Description:

Email overload is an epidemic in the U.S. workplace. The average professional wastes 40 minutes a day due to inefficient email processing habits. Research states this contributes to $308 Billion in lost productivity.

But, there's a lot individuals can do to deal with email overload, also called info-glut. But first they've got to start managing their email.

The Info-Excellence ® program offers five low-tech, high-impact strategies:
  1. Participants achieve stress-free productivity while saving 15 days a year.
  2. Get fewer emails by sending fewer emails. By targeting your emails—limiting the “Reply to All” and “Cc” functions—you can cut the number of recipients per email.
  3. Start every message with a specific subject line and a brief greeting—no more than eight words—and then use the A-B-C method (Action, Background, and Close).
  4. Offer your frequent senders a few really good tips. Coaching others can help them win too.
  5. Create a limited number of mutually exclusive folders that are based on content—not on sender, software, or some other criteria—and label everything carefully.
Learning Outcomes; participants discover how to:
  • Cut email processing time by 20%
  • Write clear, concise, and actionable messages
  • Reduce inbox clutter
  • Select the best communication tool (phone vs. email vs. IM)
  • File and find information fast
